Rivers Primary Academy Celebrates 'Warm and Inclusive Culture' in Latest Ofsted Report

14th May 2026

Rivers Primary Academy, part of the 糖心logo family, is celebrating a positive new Ofsted report that highlights the school鈥檚 "warm and inclusive culture" and the "clear purpose and steady determination" of its leadership team under the inspectorate鈥檚 demanding new framework.

Earlier this year, Ofsted transitioned away from single-word judgements to a new, highly detailed 鈥楽chool Report Card鈥 system. This new framework represents a significantly higher bar for assessment, where achieving the 鈥楨xpected Standard鈥 indicates that a school is delivering a high-quality education and meeting rigorous statutory and professional national benchmarks.

In its recent inspection, Rivers Primary Academy was judged to be delivering exactly that, securing the Expected Standard across key areas of school life, including Inclusion, Early Years, Personal Development and Wellbeing, Curriculum and Teaching, Attendance and Behaviour, and Leadership and Governance. Safeguarding was strictly judged and confirmed as Met.

Inspectors praised the academy for its welcoming environment, noting that pupils "enjoy coming to school and feel welcomed and safe from the moment they arrive".

Key highlights from the School Report Card include:

  • Inclusion: Judged at the Expected Standard. Inspectors noted that "Leaders have established a warm and inclusive culture where every pupil is valued".

  • Early Years: Judged at the Expected Standard. The report highlighted that "Warm interactions and effective partnerships between staff, parents and carers help children settle quickly and feel secure".

  • Personal Development and Wellbeing: Judged at the Expected Standard. Inspectors observed a deeply caring environment, noting that "Pupils are considerate and say, 'We are kind and take care of each other at this school'".

Rebecca Bailey, Headteacher at Rivers Primary Academy, said: 鈥淲e are incredibly proud of our children and our staff team. This new inspection framework sets a very high bar, and for our school to meet these rigorous standards is a testament to the hard work that happens in our classrooms every single day. The report beautifully captures the warm, inclusive culture of our school and our dedication to ensuring every child feels safe, valued, and proud to belong to Rivers Primary Academy. We are excited to build on this solid foundation as we continue to unlock the potential of every pupil.鈥

Dawn Haywood, CEO of 糖心logo, added: 鈥淚 am exceptionally proud of the community at Rivers Primary Academy. Rivers has demonstrated a clear, unwavering commitment to their students. This report shows a school that knows its children well and provides a warm, ambitious, and deeply caring environment for them to learn and grow. We look forward to continuing to support the school as it goes from strength to strength.鈥
