糖心logo Students Celebrate Strong Post-16 Results

Sixth Form students from Windsor High School and Sixth Form and Aspire Sixth Form at Cheslyn Hay Academy and Great Wyrley Academy are celebrating after receiving their A Level and vocational results today. 

The results highlight the incredible hard work of students and staff, with students now looking forward to progressing onto their chosen universities, exciting apprenticeships and employment at leading organisations across the region.

Windsor High School and Sixth Form

Standout individual achievements include:

  • Harrison Ward has successfully achieved 4 A*s in Chemistry, Physics, Maths and Further Maths and will go on to study Aerospace Engineering at The University of Birmingham

  • Tom Hemmings has successfully achieved Grades A*, A, A in Further Maths, Maths and Chemistry and has secured a place to study Chemistry at The University of Oxford.

  • Nasma Abdo has achieved Grades A*, A, A in Biology, Chemistry and Maths and will go on to study Medicine at The University of Birmingham.

  • Emily Bowering has achieved Grades A*, A*, A in Sociology, Psychology and Religious Studies.

Collecting A Level results today: 

Nasma said I鈥檝e been at Windsor High School for 7 years. I can鈥檛 thank the staff enough for the support they have given me over the years here. Without them I wouldn鈥檛 have been able to achieve my amazing results. 

Emily said I am really proud of my results and the work I put in both at school and at home. My 2 A*s and As have allowed me to go to University of Birmingham and study Law. 

Tom said I鈥檓 off to Oxford to study Chemistry with my 2 A* and A. I couldn鈥檛 have done it without the support of my teachers and the opportunities offered to me throughout my time here at Windsor. 

Kelsie said I really was not expecting the grades I achieved. I worked so hard during year 12 and 13 to achieve them. I read a quote the other day: 鈥淭hings take time - just enjoy where you are now.鈥 It鈥檚 all about progression and hard work to get where you are.

Deborah said I was planning on being upset when I opened my results, however I couldn鈥檛 be happier. I couldn鈥檛 have done it without the support of the teachers at Windsor High School and Sixth Form. 

Gavina Raindi, Headteacher at Windsor High School and Sixth Form, said:  "We are thrilled with yet another set of amazing outcomes for our students which continues our outstanding performance at post 16. Congratulations must go to all our young people and the staff who have worked tirelessly to secure this success and ensure that all our students progress onto their destinations of choice. Aspire Sixth Form at Cheslyn Hay Academy and Great Wyrley Academy

Standout individual achievements include:

  • Charlie Fry has successfully achieved Grades A*, A*, A in Maths, Physics and Chemistry and has secured a place to study Physics with Data Science at Birmingham University.

  • Zeth Nelder has successfully achieved Grades A*, A*, A in Criminology, Sociology and History and has secured a place to study History at Warwick University.

  • Harry Orme has successfully achieved Grades Dist*, A, A in Health and Social Care, Maths and Psychology and has secured a place to do primary Education at Wolverhampton University.

  • Keeley Meredith has successfully achieved Grades Dist*Dist*, A in Art and Criminology  and has secured a place to study Fine Art at Birmingham City. 

  • Chris Jackson has successfully achieved Grades A*, A, B in History, Geography and Music and has secured a place to study Geography at Durham University. 

  • Bella Gracey has successfully achieved Grades A*, A, B in Economics, Geography and Maths and has secured an Apprenticeship in Accountancy.

Hayden said 鈥淚 am very thankful for Asire Sixth for providing me with the opportunity to go to University to study what I love. I can鈥檛 wait to begin my journey through physiotherapy" 

Harry said 鈥淚 have loved my time at Aspire Sixth, meeting new people and making friends. I am very happy with my results and look forward to studying Primary Education"
