Welcome to Woodbury!

The professional academic advisors of the Student Success & Retention team at ÌÇÐÄlogo look forward to accompanying you on your journey to graduation.

Scheduling Advising Appointments

Most students will be advised by a professional advisor located in the Whitten Student Center. In some cases students will be assigned to a faculty advisor.

If you are assigned to a professional Academic Advisor, please click the link below to see the availability of and schedule an appointment with your assigned Academic Advisor.

Please Note: Professional Advisors are different from Faculty Advisors. If you are assigned to a Faculty Advisor please contact them directly or the Administrative Coordinator for your department.

If you are not yet a current student, please email [email protected].

Bio: Hi! My name is Jose Zamora, and I’m excited to be your Academic Advisor here at ÌÇÐÄlogo. I earned my B.A. in Global Studies from UC Santa Barbara and my M.S. in Counseling and College Student Personnel from California Lutheran University.

Dr. Rebecca Devereaux, PhD (Educational Studies)

Associate Director Student Success & Retention

Bio:

Throughout my career in higher education, accompanying students as they grow into the people and professionals they want to be has been one of the most rewarding parts of my work. College is a special time to explore, take risks, and make thoughtful choices that shape both your future and the difference you will make in the world. In Student Affairs and the Advising unit at Woodbury, we see ourselves as your partners and advocates. We’ll resource you with and coach you on the critical elements needed for degree progress, we’ll accompany you through the highs and lows (reminding you that seeking help is both strong and strategic), and we’ll encourage you to balance work hard with self-care.
Professionally, my background is in student learning theory and pedagogy, with a particular interest in meeting the learning needs for underserved populations.  I am passionate about the building campus and community partnerships that support high-impact educational practices (HIPs), engaged pedagogy, and experiential service learning.   Personally, I enjoy listening to all kinds of music, history podcasts, and baseball games.  In fact, if you stop by my office during baseball season, you very well may hear a Cubs game playing in the background.
